Attention Bidder:

 

Sealed bids will be received at Klamath Irrigation District’s office, 6640 KID Lane, Klamath Falls, OR until 4:30pm PST, 3 March 2025 for one (1) new, standard production triple gang flail mower mounted to one (1) new, standard production tractor.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

  1. DELIVERY

Delivery is required between 7:30am and 3pm at the Klamath Irrigation District Headquarters, 6640 KID Lane, Klamath Falls, OR. Bid price shall be FOB delivered. The district desires delivery within 45 days of Bid reward.

 

  1. AWARD

The right is reserved, as the interest of Klamath Irrigation District may require; to reject any or all bids and to waive any minor informality, irregularity, variation from, or exceptions to the specifications of this bid. The Contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, whose bid, conforming to the Invitation to Bid, will be most advantageous to the District. The price, quality of the equipment to be supplied, conformity to the specifications, Terms and Conditions, suitability to requirement, and warranty shall be considered in the award. An award mailed (or otherwise furnished) to the successful bidder results in a binding Contract without further action by either party.

 

  1. WRITTEN SEALD BIDS

Unit(s) shall be new, standard production model of the latest design in current production

(2024) and completely assembled and operational.

 

Mower unit(s) shall be the manufacturer’s most heavy duty model. Materials shall be of good commercial quality for the intended service and shall be produced by use of current manufacturing processes. Material shall be treated to resist rust, corrosion, and water.

 

The bidder shall satisfy the District that he or she maintains a store or branch within 300 miles of Klamath Irrigation District, staffed with qualified servicemen and with provisions for storing a representative supply of parts for the unit(s) offered and with provisions for securing parts from the manufacturer within a reasonable length of time.

Bidder shall supply two (2) parts books, two (2) service and repair manuals, and two (2) operator’s manuals with the unit(s).

 

The price quoted shall include all transportation charges fully prepaid to Klamath Irrigation District, 6640 KID Lane, Klamath Falls, OR 97603

 

The quoted price shall also include training on the startup and operating procedures, demonstrated at the address above.

 

Bidders shall list, on a separate sheet of paper, any variations from or exceptions to, the conditions and specifications of the bid. This sheet shall be labeled “Exception(s) to Bid Terms, Conditions and Specifications”, and shall be attached to the bid.

 

Written sealed bids in envelopes clearly marked “TRACTOR MOWER SEALED BID” may be mailed, emailed or delivered to the District office. No bid will be considered if received later than 4:30pm PST, 3 March 2025. The bids will be opened and read aloud at this time, evaluated and presented to Board members at the 13 March 2025, 1pm board meeting.

 

  1. ORS 279

Bidders shall Conform to all requirements per ORS 279.

 

  1. TERMS

Terms are payment on delivery. The district shall be notified of the deliver, five (5) working days prior to the delivery date.

 

  1. WARRANTY

Bidders shall submit a copy of warranty detailing the coverage offered, including extended warranty packages, with their bids. Delivery point of machine for warranty work must be specified, and must be no greater than 75 miles from the city of Klamath Falls, OR.

TRACTOR – MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS

 

1)   Type

  • Tractor Dealer within 75 miles in case of needed repair.
  • Tractor shall meet 135 HP.
  • Tractor shall be a four wheel drive tractor with a cab.
  • Chassis strength must meet the weight specification of the mower.
  • Tractor shall weigh no less than 7000 lbs.

 

2)   Engine

  • The Engine shall be diesel, four cycle, liquid cooled, no less than four cylinders with a displacement of not less than 250 Cubic Inches.
  • The engine shall develop at least 115 PTO horsepower.
  • The engine shall be quipped with a cold weather starting package.

 

3)   Transmission

  • The transmission must be a variable speed on the move such as hydrostatic or power shift. In the case of non-hydrostatic, the transmission shall have at least 12 forward gears and 4 reverse gears.

 

4)   Cab

  • Air Conditioned
  • Mounted fire extinguisher
  • Full Instrumentation
  • Vandalism Lock up package
  • AM/FM radio or Bluetooth

 

5)   Tires

  • Tire compound and tread pattern-standard tractor tires.
  • Specify the size and type of front and rear tires.

 

 

MOWER – MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS

  • Mower must be a three gang tractor mounted flail mower (manufactured by Tiger).
  • Side mounted mower wings must be hydraulic driven able to run independently of each other.
  • Rear mower must be PTO driven.
  • Total cutting width must be at least 23 ft.
  • Each side wing must fold up 90° to vertical.
  • Cutting shaft must use heavy duty, rough cut, cutter knives.
  • Cutting head must have removable/replaceable skid shoes.
  • Heavy duty gear box.

 

 

All bidder will be notified either by phone or email by 12 April 2025 whether or not their bid has been accepted by the District.

The Invitation to Bid shall be signed and submitted by the bidder.
